Who Are We?
Backpack Hero consolidates multiple back-to-school events in Hillsborough County into one fun-filled event!
What Are We Doing?
Backpack Hero, made possible by Hillsborough County Fair, the Hillsborough County school system, local non-profits, churches, and businesses, is a community outreach event providing backpacks, school supplies, and essential resources to children in need across Hillsborough County. Registration is recommended to ensure sufficient resources for each child but is not required.
The Why
Ensure families receive the best resources possible by uniting the community through a single, collaborative back-to-school backpack giveaway event in Hillsborough.
Who Can Register
Families with school-age children in Hillsborough may register in person, registration is recommended but not required. Families can also attend as walk-ups on the day of the event.

Vendor Registration
Join us as a vendor and connect with the community! Nonprofits, agencies, church groups, and more are invited to have a table at the event. Help us provide resource informationm and introduce your organization to all the families. The first 150 vendors will be provided a 6-foot table and two chairs. Please bring swag or giveaways for 3,000 children. Setup is from 8–9 AM on Saturday the 2nd.
